Some words about me…

As-Salaam-Alaikum, 

I’m Qudsia Baig a professional Pakistani editor/ proofreader with three years’ experience, gained as a freelancer. My job is to help writers communicate effectively and elegantly.

I consider myself as a story lover. I graduated from the University of the Punjab with a double-major in Print Journalism and Punjabi, where I had the opportunity to learn how to compose and publish stories.  

My keen interest in words, sentences, characters, plot-lines drove me to attend the University of the Punjab and National University of Modern Languages to obtain a Master of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in English Language Teaching.

I work with clients all over the world to ensure that their English is excellent. I’ve edited nonfiction books for authors in Africa, and I’ve edited US novels that have hit the Amazon bestseller list. I also have worked with Indian and Australian writers.

 I proofread documents in American English. Currently, I work using track changes in Microsoft Word.

 I can assist with fiction and nonfiction books, short stories, articles & blogs, and thesis.

My areas of expertise in fiction include literary and commercial, as well as mysteries and thrillers, and women’s fiction. (Sorry:  I don’t edit horror and erotic fiction.)  I love collaborating with experts on nonfiction projects mainly in the areas of self-help, children related topics, memoir, spirituality, parenting, business, education, social issues, how-to, relationship and family, wedding, and lifestyle.

I consider it a privilege and a pleasure to work with all of my clients, and to use my skills and experience to help them communicate effectively and elegantly.

I  work on both sides of the fence for authors and publishers. I also have worked with authors published on Amazon.
